The Election Commission of India organizes the National Voters' Day on 25th January every year to encourage the young voters of the country to participate in the election process. It is creating awareness that everyone who has completed 18 years of age should have the right to vote and that everyone who is eligible should vote. Meanwhile, the Election Commission is also providing the facility for voters to check their details online. People can also check from time to time whether their name is in the voter list.
Those who have applied for new voting rights and amendments can check their details online. Also sometimes amendments are made in the voter list as well. In such cases voters should check the details online. Which polling station has been allocated? It is also possible to see the details of who is their local election officer.
How to check your name in voter list online
1. First go to the official National Voters Service portal website www.nvsp.in in the browser.
2. After opening the website, click on the option called Search in Electoral Roll on the main page.
3. After clicking that option another page will open. You can check your name in the voter list in two ways.
4. In the first option search by details.. enter details like your name, age/date of birth, state, district, assembly constituency, name of father/husband. After that, enter the Captcha code as it is at the end. After that click on the search button below and you will get your details in the voter list.
5. If you have the voter card number (EPIC Number) you can also check your details in the voter list. For that Search By EPIC No. option is on the same page.
6. Go into it and enter voter card number, state, code there and click search button. After that the details of your name in the voter list will come.
