Tips To Cook Mutton: If you want to cook mutton soft and quickly.. follow these tips..!

Mutton is always in the first place for non-veg lovers.  However, sometimes if the mutton is not cooked properly... the mutton will be tough and rubbery.  Following some tips while cooking mutton can make the meat tender quickly.

Whether it's Sunday, relatives coming home, or a special occasion, non-veg should be a must.  Chicken, mutton and prawn curry make the whole house buzz.  Chicken and prawns are easy to cook but mutton is a bit difficult to cook.  Sometimes the mutton curry is not cooked properly.. it is tough and rubbery.  In some cases the pressure cooker will remain tough no matter how many whistles you fry.  No matter how hard you cook the mutton, if it is not cooked, its taste will be spoiled.  If you follow small tips while cooking mutton curry, it will be soft, juicy and tasty.  If you are having trouble while cooking mutton..

Ginger : Add grated ginger/ginger paste while cooking the mutton.  If you do this... the mutton will cook later.  Due to the proteolytic enzymes in ginger, the mutton becomes soft and quick.  We usually put ginger paste in mutton curry.  But first add grated ginger and after the meat is cooked add ginger garlic paste.

Papaya: When the mutton is cooked, the papaya pieces become soft and quick.  When the mutton is cooked in the cooker.. add a piece of green papaya and close the lid.  By doing this, the meat will not only be soft cooked but also tender.  Pepain, an enzyme in papaya, breaks down the bonds in the flesh.  The enzymes in papaya help the mutton cook faster.  Don't add too much papaya. If you do this, the taste of the curry will change.

Marinate with curd : An hour before cooking the mutton, marinate the meat in curd.  If you soak the meat in curd for an hour, it will cook quickly.

Tomato: When the mutton is cooked, add tomato paste.  The acidic nature of tomato makes the meat cook faster.  If tomato is added.. the curry will also taste better.

With salt: Wash the mutton cleanly.. Add rock salt to it and mix.  Soak it for an hour.  Salt draws water out of the meat, and the mutton also absorbs the salt.  If you do this, the mutton will not only cook slowly and tenderly, but it will also be tasty.
